MAKE was commissioned to develop the festival branding for the 24th edition of the Berlin & Beyond Film Festival. Held annually in San Francisco, the festival is the leading and largest festival of contemporary German cinema in the Americas. The event is an annual tradition for San Francisco, and has been a gateway for the American public to experience the diversity, history and progress of German-speaking countries; while celebrating the universal spirit and vision of filmmakers from this global region.

Mirroring the spirit of the festival, the design encapsulates the energy and vision of the festival brand. It conveys the idea of perception and facets of storytelling through the key art, whilst exploring the dynamic interplay between imagery, shape and colour.
